BTR West Sussex Inaugural trail social run LIRF qualified run leader Grace @marathongracefully
Meeting point: Amberley Train Station car park
Date: Saturday 9th September 2023
Time: 11:15 am – to allow travel for those coming from further afield!
Distance – up to 8km
We are very excited to launch the first BTR run in Sussex. The run will set off from Amberley Train Station Car Park and make our way across the road and onto the beautiful trail initially along the River Arun, before we meander our way into the picturesque village of Amberley. Tucked away between the imposing walls of Amberley Castle and the hills of the South Downs, the village of Amberley has been beautifully preserved with some 70 listed buildings, including many 17th-century timber-framed thatched cottages.
Come along and represent, bring some BTR vibes and a fully charged phone for some serious photos and visuals!
This is a mix of trail and tarmac so whilst trail shoes are recommended especially if it’s wet, road shoes would do the job.
This is a chilled relaxed run and no one will get left behind!
Recommended kit:
• Trail (if wet) or road shoes
• Comfortable running kit
• Water
Facilities: There are toilets at the train station and after the run we will stop at a lovely coffee shop right on the river Arun which has toilet facilities
