The run will be led by Lirf Run Coach @mohsonstars
Everyone is invited, this is an introduction to the trails & for all run abilities. We will warm up, connect, understand the route planned and terrain. We are looking at 5k covered in around 45-60 mins.
We leave no one behind and we will be walking, jogging, running and taking lots of cute breaks to soak up the scenery, take pics and enjoy connection & conversation.
Hampstead Heath (locally known simply as the Heath) is an ancient heath in London, spanning 320 hectares (790 acres). This grassy public space sits astride a sandy ridge, one of the highest points in London, running from Hampstead to Highgate, which rests on a band of London Clay. The heath is rambling and hilly, embracing ponds, recent and ancient woodlands, a lido, playgrounds, and a training track, and it adjoins the former stately home of Kenwood House and its estate. The south-east part of the heath is Parliament Hill, from which the view over London is protected by law.
Please wear suitable clothing and shoes as this is a trail run taking in foot paths, fields, and forest. Bring layers, waterproofs, snacks and water. For safety trail shoes are preferred.
It can be daunting doing something new with new people so please DM me any questions, queries and concerns. We want to knock down all barriers to entry, make you feel seen, heard, comfortable and included. Let’s democratise the outdoors and exhale as we feel grounded and present together.
Start and finish outside HAMPSTEAD HEATH OVERGROUND.
If people want to decompress, stretch and grab a coffee after to connect we will.

BTR West Sussex Social Run
BTR West Sussex Inaugural trail social run LIRF qualified run leader Grace @marathongracefully
Meeting point: Amberley Train Station car park
Date: Saturday 9th September 2023
Time: 11:15 am – to allow travel for those coming from further afield!
Distance – up to 8km
We are very excited to launch the first BTR run in Sussex. The run will set off from Amberley Train Station Car Park and make our way across the road and onto the beautiful trail initially along the River Arun, before we meander our way into the picturesque village of Amberley. Tucked away between the imposing walls of Amberley Castle and the hills of the South Downs, the village of Amberley has been beautifully preserved with some 70 listed buildings, including many 17th-century timber-framed thatched cottages. Come along and represent, bring some BTR vibes and a fully charged phone for some serious photos and visuals!
This is a mix of trail and tarmac so whilst trail shoes are recommended especially if it’s wet, road shoes would do the job.
This is a chilled relaxed run and no one will get left behind!
Recommended kit:
• Trail (if wet) or road shoes
• Comfortable running kit
• Water
Facilities: There are toilets at the train station and after the run we will stop at a lovely coffee shop right on the river Arun which has toilet facilities
Travel
By train - from London Victoria, it takes an 1h 23m and available every hour. An advanced return ticket costs £12. If you require financial travel assistance (off peak only), please email blacktrailrunners@gmail.com

The run will set off from the station heading towards the wonderful Richmond Park and then making our way to beautiful Petersham common, before heading back into Richmond Park. This is a challenging but runnable route with off-road and rough paved surfaces, depending on the unpredictable UK weather be prepared for mud and puddles or dust and dehydration!
Trail shoes are recommended but not a must. Please wear appropriate footwear. There are toilets all around the park and water taps too, but please bring hydration and snacks.
I’m sure we will end up at the Coffee shop back in Mortlake for ice creams and a bun.
The route will be between 8 and 10 miles and as always no one gets left behind, this is a social run all we ask is you bring the vibe.
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible!
