Spring into Trail Running with Black Trail Runners x Strava

The month of March is, according to Strava data, the busiest day of the year for people getting outdoors to run. Yes, it’s even more popular than the month of January! Who knew, well BTR & Strava do!

So, on Saturday March 23rd we want you to Spring into Trail Running with us at our Bristol event.

We Black Trail Runners know that there is no better time to take up, or enjoy, the beauty that is trail running than Springtime? The warmer weather, lighter nights, daffodils and snowdrops blanketing the ground – what’s not to love?!

Trail running in the Springtime is a runners’ paradise!

Black Trail Runners’ charitable mission is to increase the inclusion, participation, and representation of Black people in trail running. So, this Spring, we invite both new people interested in trail running, and existing members of our community, to come together to run with us on a specially curated trail route in Bristol.

Join us as, through this run, we continue to re-claim our rightful place in the outdoors via the activity of trail running.

Come run for you, for the community, for a truly diverse outdoors!

The Spring into Trail Running with BTR x Strava run event will be suitable for both the new trail runner and the more experienced, with each run of approximately 5K being led by our amazing BTR social run leaders.

But Spring into Trail Running with BTR x Strava is about more than the run! It’s about total immersion in the BTR community vibes, sharing stories and sharing joy. That’s why, to keep the vibes high, each run will culminate in refreshments provided by BTR for each participant and a host of BTR/Strava swag will be gifted too, thus ensuring that BTR Spring swagger stays with you through 2024.

BTR Social Run South London

Greetings everyone!

I am thrilled to announce a captivating social run in the stunning Southwest London, hosted by myself, Frank Bingham. This event is open to all, and we welcome you to join us on Sunday, 19th November 11:00am at the Rose & Crown Hotel in Wimbledon Village, SW19 5BA.

As a social run, the pace will be set to accommodate the slowest runner, and I want to emphasize that no one will be left behind. Please ensure you wear appropriate shoes and clothing as this will be a trail run and the terrain may be wet and muddy.

Our run will take us through the breathtaking Wimbledon Common & Richmond Park, where you will discover hidden gems and enjoy the natural beauty in a safe and friendly environment. We will be running 99% off-road, which includes hills, flats and slightly more technical terrain, with a distance ranging from a minimum of 8 miles to a maximum of 10 miles.

I'm confident that everyone will find something to love about this run, whether it's the picturesque scenery, the physical challenge, or the opportunity to make connections and share knowledge with fellow runners.

For your convenience, here is the precise what3words address for the meeting point: ///play.fuel.buzz or https://w3w.co/play.fuel.buzz.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask us via our Facebook page @blacktrailrunners.

I'm excited to welcome as many people as possible to join me on this unique and unforgettable run. See you all on Sunday 19th November at the Rose & Crown Hotel!
